krima & isa’s 10th anniversary
Our story behind all the colourful dots:
Clarity, simplicity, cheery colours and a playful touch – with our products, we want to make everyday life more beautiful, and spread joy! Everything centres on discovering, collecting, storing and giving: Our assortment includes wrapping paper, gift bags and cards as well as ribbons, pencils, window stickers, buttons, iron-on transfers and many other treasures designed with love.
We dream up exquisite details to surprise and delight you – there’s always something new to discover. So we record all ideas in our sketchbooks and folders until the right time has come to develop a new product. When everything is ready, we work together with our long-standing service providers to to ensure that the product is manufactured here in Germany or in Europe – and in the precise quality we need. We name every new item, and then take suitable photos in the cheerful atmosphere of our own studio or another lovely location. So everything comes from one source – even our catalogue is designed in-house.
What began over ten years ago, while studying graphic design, with a few illustrations in a small portfolio, has grown into a comprehensive assortment and a small family business. Together with a 10-person team, Kristina Marquardt creates and develops the krima & isa products. Krima and her brother Sebastian manage the global distribution network. Since our foundation, we have always stayed true to Hamburg. An old printer’s building in the historic city centre houses our headquarters.
And we find new inspiration for the multicoloured dots, stars, patterns and funny animals right here. After all, we’ve designed and decorated our krima & isa world in a particularly colourful, delightful and creative way! One can experience this special atmosphere – we like to call it a blend of “charming corner shop” and “Alice in Wonderland” – in our showroom and at the krima & isa trade fair stand, but also with each and every product. Our many new, colourful ideas will carry us into the future – we’re looking forward to it!
